به کمک این دوربین حرارتی حد دمای بالا را می توان تنظیم کرد، به عنوان مثال تا 37.3 درجه سانتیگراد. سپس، دمای ≥37.3 درجه سانتیگراد توسط LED و هشدار صفحه نمایش و آلارم مشخص می شود. درصورت اتصال دستگاه به نرم‌افزار رایانه شخصی نیز می توان توسط نرم‌افزار به‌طور خودکار داده‌ها و تصاویر را هنگام فعال شدن آلارم ضبط کرد.
